Overview

The Pediatric Psychologist provides clinical services to clients which may include assessment, treatment planning, case management, individual, group and family therapy, and case disposition as part of a clinical team. Participates in the training and clinical supervision of psychology interns.

Responsibilities

1. Maintains awareness of the sources of reimbursements for the service and follows through to ensure that all requirements are met. 2. Accurately and timely assesses readiness for discharge or transfer. Utilizes SBAR when appropriate. Makes appropriate judgments, utilizing available resources in a collaborative approach, demonstrates competence per department requirements. 3. Provides clinically competent case management services to clients as needed. 4. Promotes a positive client experience, participates in service recovery and encourages clients' feedback. 5. Provides clinical supervision to psychology interns and others as assigned. 6. Discharge transfer plan is completed in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures. Collateral contacts are completed in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures. Initial assessment is completed in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures. Progress notes are completed in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures. Treatment plan is completed in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures. Treatment plan review is completed in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures. Weekly summaries are completed in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures. 7. Initial assessments are comprehensive and demonstrate clinical competence. 8. Performance Improvement: Demonstrates a clear understanding of performance improvement activities within the department. Actively participates in the Performance Improvement Process. 9. Provides services equal to 65% of hours worked. 10. Participates in supervision as needed. 11. Maintains and provides knowledge of current issues in the field. Shares information from conferences, articles, and training with others. 12. Demonstrates clinical competency in the provision of group clinical treatments. Demonstrates clinical competency in the provision of individual clinical treatments. Demonstrates clinical competency in the provision of family clinical treatments. 13. Completes psychological assessments and consults in a timely manner and demonstrates clinical competence. 14. Assists in the coordination of internship programs to maintain APA accreditation standards. 15. Treatment plan is measurable, individualized, and incorporates client involvement. 16. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. 17. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Earned Doctorate in Psychology, internship in clinical child, school psychology, adult clinical and/or pediatric psychology. 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 3. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: 1. Post-doctoral training and/or experience in child maltreatment or forensic psychology. Licenses and Certifications Required: 1. Psychologist License or Practicing Psychologist License.

Compensation
Minimum rate of $106,329.60 Annually

The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

  • Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
  • Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
  • Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
