The Clinical Skills Data Coordinator will be responsible for creating, maintaining and coordinating the various data and systems, including databases, used for student assessment for the Clinical Skills team at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. This role will design, develop, and optimize data systems that provide robust analytics across various cohorts.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Clinical Skills Data Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Develops, implements and maintains data systems which integrate with input from multiple sources.
- Applies best practices to collect, process and analyze student assessment data.
- Creates and maintains reports with rich interactive visualizations featuring clinical skills student performance data.
- Implements continuous improvement of clinical skills data systems, including but not limited to evaluating for efficiency, problems and inaccuracies and develops and maintains protocols for processing & cleaning data.
- Tracks and monitors student performance data and regularly updates leadership as necessary.
- Collaborates to ensure timely and accurate grade reporting and identification of student remediation.
- Coordinates, manages,and monitors the tracking of student final grades. Monitors students who have not passed the clinical skills portion of courses and clerkships and timelines for remediation. Notifies the appropriate faculty, staff, and committees of final grades and changes to grades.
- Supports the generation of data reports of educational outcomes and evaluations to support data-driven decisions of committees charged with monitoring and oversight of the curriculum and distribution to other key stakeholders.
- Supports research and quality improvement initiatives related to clinical skills curricula, assessment data and assessment of student performance.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, drive meaningful conclusions and support data-driven decision-making.
- Upholds confidentiality requirements.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelors degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 or more years of experience with databases and data management, including proven analytics skills including evaluation and visualization.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms, with aptitude for learning analytics tools and technologies.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Experience with assessment software or other complex systems.
- Experience in an academic setting.

Compensation
Starting at $70,668.00 Annually
HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

- Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
- Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
- Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
