The Virtual Care Project Manager oversees strategic project development and implementation related to virtual care technology and virtual care delivery. This includes but is not limited to e-visits, video visits, e-consults, tele-Stroke, tele-Behavioral Health, and tele-Pediatrics. Focuses on operational and clinical standardization toward technical integration, operational execution, and monitoring of all virtual care-related activities across Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Supports HMH growth, efficiency, and engagement strategies. Focuses on enhancing the virtual care experience and satisfaction of clinicians, patients, and other stakeholders through the various digital front door(s).

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Virtual Care Project Manager at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Serve as a valued HMH Digital Engagement Team Member.
  • Manage day-to-day implementation of digital strategy.
  • Manage and support the development of telehealth use cases.
  • Manage and support virtual care patient experience processes.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Defines and maintains project plans and communication/reporting of associated work.
  • Coordinate project implementation and planning with internal stakeholders, including information technology (IT), human resources, and administration.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues to keep projects on track.
  • Support the successful integration of virtual care at HMHN operations and technology systems.
  • Drive operational and clinical standardization toward technical integration, operational execution, and monitoring of all virtual care-related activities.
  • Work with leadership to develop key metrics related to virtual care enhancements and improvements to ensure outcomes are being monitored.
  • Collaborate with Digital Technology Services (DTS)/IT to execute all tasks driven by leadership and the virtual health strategy council.
  • Manage relationships with various resources and stakeholders across HMH and its affiliates.
  • Coordinate project implementation and planning with internal stakeholders, including DTS/IT, Human Resources, and Administration.
  • Collect and analyze all telehealth data by creating dashboards to monitor performance.
  • Lead the development of integrated business plans that include virtual care product development and enhancement of the virtual care footprint.
  • Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive network-wide virtual care strategy.
  • Learn and execute new and ongoing virtual care strategy practices following industry trends and best practices in healthcare and consumer industries.
  • Occasional weekend and evening work hours are required.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in health system operations, telehealth/telemedicine, and digital health.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with a proven ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects and integrate the goals of diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in effectively managing external vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to align and motivate key process stakeholders, including nurses, physicians, and other clinical/administrative staff.
  • Strong working knowledge of telehealth processes, policies, and principles.
  • Proven ability to synthesize both short- and long-term planning.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Flexible work style and ability to work within a diverse team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or IT degree in journalism, business, marketing, IT, and/or a combination of related coursework and experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • EPIC MyChart and/or Ambulatory Certification at hire or to obtain within six (6) months of hire.

Compensation
Starting at $131,144.00 Annually

HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of a specific offer. Posted hourly rates may be stated as an annual salary in the offer and posted annual salaries may be stated as an hourly rate in the offer, depending on the level and nature of the job duties and credentials of the candidate. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may be different than the posted rate of pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to:

  • Labor Market Data: Compensation is benchmarked against market data to ensure competitiveness.
  • Experience: Years of relevant work experience.
  • Education and Certifications: Level of education attained, including specialized certifications, credentials, completed apprenticeship programs or advanced training.
  • Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
  • Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
  • Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
  • Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.

In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
