The Systems Automation Developer will directly report into our Manager of Development & Solutions System Automation. Will deliver process automations to drive successful adoption of automation at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). In addition to building automations, owns deliverables across the automation journey to ensure the automation use cases and scenarios are properly documented.
This is a remote position. We are looking for experienced candidates that have worked with UiPath RPA before.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Systems Automation Developer at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Understands all the stages of an Automation journey and describes the role of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer in each stage.
- Coordinates with leader and Solution Architects to execute project plans for implementation. Gathers requirements and develops automations to solve business issues and champion productivity across HMH.
- Designs and implements automation solutions from business and technical requirements. Partners with Business Analysts to define the manual rules used to govern the process, and then translating those rules into automated commands.
- Responsible for scripting and coding in UiPath to build automation, which can include JavaScript and other program languages.
- Responsible for creating technical documentation (SDD, MTP) following best practices.
- Acts as the first escalation point of contact for automation.
- Rigorously execute automation testing, including, unit testing, user acceptance testing, and bug fixes. Responsible for peer code assessments and knowledge transfer to support developers.
- Continues to participate in trainings to further enhance skills and abilities, including tools and best practices.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or similar professional experience within these fields.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience with software development and/or RPA technologies.
- Ability to use critical thinking in solving a problem.
- Ability to break down business problems into logical tasks and think creatively.
- Ability to perform code analysis to understand how code is implemented.
- Cross-functional business and application knowledge.
- Understand data structures; Understand and follow coding best practices, e.g., naming conventions, error handling, logging, and commenting.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Experience in .NET, PowerShell, HTML.
- Familiarity with Epic, PeopleSoft, Oracle applications.
- Hands-on experience with advanced automation tools (OCR, IDP, AI/ML).
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
- UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer (UiARD).
