The Cardiovascular Network Service Lines (NSL) Registry Administrator coordinates, manages and maintains, including societal, vendor, and regulatory updates, including the HMH and societal national and state database systems functionality at the facility level, and NSL level. The CV Registry Administrator interprets data, and shares interpretation with Cardiovascular (CV) NSL multidisciplinary local, and Network Committees, CV NSL Accreditation, and Certification Committees, Local and Network Quality, Outcomes, and Safety Committee(s), and other committees as directed by Hackensack Meridian Health VP of Cardiovascular Network Service Lines. The CV Registry Administrator coordinates cardiovascular data collection to ensure STS/TVT, ACC-NCDR, and NJ Department of Health (NJDOH) Cardiovascular reporting databases are appropriately maintained. Serves as the key facility contact to issues relating to the performance of the national STS/TVT, ACC-NCDR, and NJDHSS CV databases. Develops utilization of the Cardiovascular Registry Program to its full potential, by continually providing database utilization education, and training of appropriate personnel, including the CV Registry abstractor(s), regarding accurate and complete data collection, and entry. Identifies, and resolves hardware, and software problems, thus providing a continuity of service with maximum results. Coordinates the installation of new programs, and upgrades. Actively participates within the CV NSL, sharing ideas, and having input in the decision-making process that will affect the integrity of the system. Actively participates in creating, and accomplishing the Cardiovascular NSL local, and system goals and development, implementation, and evaluation of the Cardiovascular NSL strategic plan, including all CV metrics, and dashboards. Facilitates an interdisciplinary approach to the evaluation of identified problems, and/or improvement of processes within the CV NSL, using the theories, methods, and tools of performance improvement. This includes organizing relevant task forces, review of evidence-based literature/benchmarks, establishment of indicators for monitoring, and evaluation of quality and appropriateness of care and continuous improvement for the achievement of targeted goals. Provides physician-specific quality data obtained from data analysis to the Network Quality leadership as needed, the facility Chief Medical Officers, administrative leadership, and various hospital Quality Department(s), as directed. Works under the clinical advice of the CV NSL Advanced Practice Nurse/Population Coordinator, and Physician Registry Champions, and is responsible to the Manager of CV NSL Registries, Regional, and Network NSL Administration.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Cardiovascular Network Service Lines (NSL) Registry Administrator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Actively participates in the development and achievement of CV NSL Goals, and Strategic Priorities, and is a member of the Clinical/Quality NSL committee. The CV Registry Administrator serves as a facilitator for sub-committee analysis identified by the APN/Physician team for continual review of evidence-based guidelines, and literature.
- Analysis of CV NSL data: Retrieves, and utilizes pertinent data from the Registries/databases to evaluate CV NSL clinical, financial, and quality performance, as defined by the Cardiovascular strategic priorities, strategic plan, regulatory requirements, and clinical national benchmarks.
- Coordinates, and maintains CV NSL data collection, and entry into the CV NSL Registries /databases: Oversees, and maintains cardiovascular data collection, and entry processes to ensure STS/TVT, ACC-NCDR Registries, and NJ Department of Health Cardiovascular reporting databases are accurate, and complete.
- Coordinates, and maintains the functionality of the CV NSL registries/databases; thus providing a continuity of service with maximum results: Coordinates, maintains, and updates the selected vendor(s) at HMH to keep all CV data from national societies current with complete integrated system functionality. Serves as the key facility contact to issues relating to the performance of the national/societal registries such as: STS/TVT, ACC-NCDR, and NJ DOH.
- Coordinates, and provides education, and training to CV Registry Abstractor, and CV Services Team Members, for data collection, and entry to ensure accurate, and complete utilization of clinical registries.
- Under the direction of NSL leadership, develops presentations for review of pertinent outcomes, accreditations, and clinical information sharing. Designs clinical, financial, and quality reports that display data in a format appropriate to the data being displayed that clearly displays results over time, and incorporates national benchmarks, as appropriate.
- Maintains current knowledge of CV NSL clinical/quality performance improvement measures. Stays abreast of the literature, and promptly communicates proposed/potential new measures that could impact the CV NSL Registry/Database operations, etc.
- Participates in the planning, and preparation activities for regulatory, and CV NSL Accreditation/Certification surveys. Serves as a resource for knowledge, and compliance with regulatory agency, and Cardiovascular Accreditation initiative standards.
- Prepares, and distributes clinical, financial, and quality reports for use by CV NSL VP, NSL Network and Regional Director(s), Administrative and Medical Staff Leaders, Accreditation/Certification Initiative Committees, Quality Department(s), and other entities, as appropriate.
- Advises leadership of all potential problems, and quality issues in a timely manner. Seeks assistance from the appropriate level of management for complex decisions, or in a crisis situation.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, and/or Informatics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Bachelor or masters degree in Informatics,
- Masters degree in Business, Healthcare, or Nursing.
- Experience in Nursing informatics, CV Administration, Leadership, Quality/Outcomes, Performance Improvement credentials (Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, Robust PI (HRO).
- Clinical cardiovascular experience of 3-5 years, with past experience over identified population preferred.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.

Compensation
Minimum rate of $111,924.80 Annually
HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

Posted hourly rates may be stated as an annual salary in the offer and posted annual salaries may be stated as an hourly rate in the offer, depending on the level and nature of the job duties and credentials of the candidate. - Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
- Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
