Responsibilities

Responsible for the management of the Telehealth Monitoring and/or other patient monitoring systems and technologies including regulatory compliance and assisting with daily clinical oversight at the direction of the Clinical Telehealth Supervisor RN.

 

  • Compliance Management: Maintain policies and procedures related to the monitoring system, its storage and function. Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies at the direction of the clinical supervisor.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Resolve technical issues with technology companies to maintain proper functioning of the central system and patient equipment.
  • Education of Clinical Staff: Assist Telehealth Clinical Supervisor RN in the training of all existing and new hire nursing staff on patient selection and use of the telemonitoring system.
  • Patient Selection: Responsible for ensuring appropriate patient population  for telemonitoring system by adhering to criteria for patient selection.
  • Alert Management: Responsible for daily management of test alerts based on agency protocols  and communication of the data to appropriate agents (Clinical Telehealth Supervisor RN, primary nurse, EMS, patient, Emergency Contact, or nursing supervisor) in a timely manner.
  • Report Maintenance: Maintain reports and trending data per regulatory compliance in application.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide the Telehealth Supervisor RN with a daily analysis/update of any issues concerning the telehealth program.
  • Technology Review and Implementation: Participate in the review of new technologies in the organization. Assist with the implementation of new technologies.
  • Committee Participation:  Participate in technology-related committees and projects.
  • Growth: Responsible for growing the use of the telemonitoring technology by assisting in the education of the clinical staff regarding the telehealth program.
  • Install Management: Facilitate the scheduling of installs with clinical operation teams. Assist in troubleshooting installations, including home visits, when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.

 

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Perferred:

1. Three (3) to five (5) years of customer service experience
2. Technology Experience, preferably in healthcare
3. Associates or Bachelors Degree
