The Program Director manages, supervises, and instructs the 11- month hospital- Based program in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology. The Program Director is responsible for the organization, administration, instruction, evaluation, continuous quality improvement, curriculum development and planning, directing other program faculty and staff, periodic review, planning, development, evaluation and general effectiveness of the program. The Program Director has input into the budget preparation and is responsible for maintaining the NAACLS accreditation of the program.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Program Director at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
1. Design, develop, evaluate, and revise school curriculum to support and maintain accreditation and goals. Establishes and maintains national accreditation status for programs with the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
2. Engages in a minimum of 36 hours of documented continuing professional education over every 3 years.
3. Conducts planned and systematic program review with faculty. Communicates planned corrective actions and updates. Investigates current educational trends and alternative modes of delivery.
4. Develops policies congruent with institutional policies. Maintains order and organization within the school and faculty through a formalized system of policies.
5. Manages and/or assists in the recruitment, development, and supervision of team members. Creates and sustains an environment that fosters team member engagement. Establishes clear objectives tied to department and/or organizational strategic goals. Coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
6. Involved in the development and/or management of budget for assigned areas. Regularly monitors relevant key financial indicators and performance metrics, modifying business activities where needed in response to changing financial situations.
7. Track, analyze, and report on relevant data and metrics as needed and/or requested. Develop, recommend and/or implement actions or process improvements as appropriate.
8. Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
9. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum 4 yrs full-time Clinical Experience
3. 2 yrs full-time teaching experience in an accredited educational program in the modality of hire.
4. General knowledge of professional equipment for the modality of the program of hire.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1. Program Director experience.

Compensation
Minimum rate of $124,571.20 Annually
HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

- Experience: Years of relevant work experience.

- Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
- Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
- Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
- Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
