The Manager of the Pediatrics Program will direct the overall operations supporting more than 40 community partners; overseeing the implementation of project activities, coordination with other agencies, development of materials, conducting meetings, designing and directing the gathering, tabulating and interpreting of required data. The Program Manager will be responsible for overall program evaluation and for staff performance evaluation and is the responsible authority for ensuring necessary reports/documentation are submitted.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Manager, Pediatrics Program at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Develop, lead and support proposal efforts, including project scoping and prioritization and identification of all stakeholders.
  • Oversees network contracting and relationships. Develops a strategy to recruit and retain community organizations and medical providers to participate in the InCK network.
  • Actively manages InCK vendor partnerships and subcontracting. Meets regularly with Service Integration Coordinator vendor and reviews performance reports to ensure high levels of performance and assist with the resolution of problems and issues as they arise in a timely manner.
  • Working through the network liaisons, manages aggregation of clinical and social data and ongoing maintenance of data feeds across the network. Assists the data aggregation vendor and community organizations and practices with establishing the data feeds necessary for the quality improvement and reporting requirements of the InCK program.
  • Plans, coordinates, communicates and evaluates systems and processes that support the InCK program.
  • Provides operational, financial, strategic and human resource leadership.
  • Accounts for the financial management of the InCK grant. Plans and monitors all budgets/contracts/funds. Ensures financial templates are up-to-date and accurate for all personnel assigned to work on the grant. Reports financial status Senior Leadership and the Partnership Council.
  • Hires and manages InCK staff.
  • Working with the Medical Director, Behavioral Health Director and the Clinical Quality Committee and through the network liaisons, oversees the implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the InCK network.
  • Working with the Principal Investigator and Senior Leadership, produces quarterly and annual reports regarding the performance of the InCK program to be submitted to CMS at regularly scheduled intervals.
  • Acts as a project leader for assigned projects including all marketing and communications of the InCK program.
  • Collaborates with InCK Executive Director, Executive Committee, Healthy Communities leadership and the Foundation Liaison to identify opportunities and seek, steward and manage existing and new funding for the growth and enhancement of InCK initiatives.
  • Cultivates collaborative internal and external relationships to enhance the presence and growth of the InCK program and network.
  • Develops and refines strong collaborative relationships with providers, vendors and community organizations leading to improvements in patient outcomes, network satisfaction, reduced medical costs, and achieving quality targets
  • Collaborates with the Principal Investigator and Senior Leadership to achieve InCK program quality goals and grant requirements.
  • Completes project charter and obtains approval from all stakeholders.
  • Build a cohesive project plan, engaging input of others in defining tasks and estimating the duration of all related activities.
  • Establish and oversee project expenditures and budgets.
  • Work with financial stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within financial and regulatory guidelines.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate project activities, manage resources and sequences activities to ensure that objectives are accomplished within project timeframes.
  • Organize and attend meetings and events as appropriate for the project(s), creating agendas and subsequent meeting meetings.
  • Builds mutual trust and encourages respect and cooperation among team members. Recognizes contributions and celebrates accomplishments.\
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership throughout the hospital organization.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Experience in planning, leading teams, presentations to senior management, and working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Experience with managing initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to facilitate cross functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong communication (written/verbal) skills.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • MS or MBA.
  • 5 years of project management experience.
  • Experience with PMBOK, Agile or other Project Management approach.
  • Clinical program oversight experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.

Compensation
Minimum rate of $1,245.71 Annually

HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of a specific offer. Posted hourly rates may be stated as an annual salary in the offer and posted annual salaries may be stated as an hourly rate in the offer, depending on the level and nature of the job duties and credentials of the candidate.   • Labor Market Data: Compensation is benchmarked against market data to ensure competitiveness.
  • Experience: Years of relevant work experience.
  • Education and Certifications: Level of education attained, including specialized certifications, credentials, completed apprenticeship programs or advanced training.
  • Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
  • Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
  • Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
  • Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
