The Clinical Program Manager has system-wide oversight and/or coordination responsibility for the Medical Center Orthopedic Service line.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Clinical Program Manager at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

 

  • Clinical Oversight: Ensures provision of evidence-based clinical practices within the service line. Enhances current programming and/or develops new services in response to clinical needs.
  • Communication: Utilizes team meetings, huddles, communication boards to keep all team members aware of specific program, Orthopedic information. Observes and participates in overall patient care planning and works with clients and team members to resolve issues or potential problems.
  • Competency Assessment: Completes competency assessment as per orthopedic procedures Assure that requirements for certification, licensure and accreditation are met and maintained.
  • Patient Management: Manages resources to optimize timely provision of services and maximum utilization of available clinical time. Assures that all regulations/policies regarding patient confidentiality are met. Available for individual case consultation on a needed basis and ensures appropriate clinical supervision for team members.
  • Program Management: Manages daily program operations to ensure efficient and safe provision of services and develops staffing patterns to most effectively meet needs of programs at each campus. Provides community outreach to maintain current and develop additional referral sources.
  • Performance Improvement: Invested in the PI process. Develops, implements and follows through with program specific PI activities. Encourages involvement of program team members in the PI process. Assist with ISCR and CJR program.
  • People Management: Manages and/or assists in the recruitment, development and supervision of team members. Creates and sustains an environment that fosters team member engagement. Establishes clear objectives tied to department and/or organizational strategic goals. Coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.
  • Financial Management: Involved in the development and/or management of budget for assigned areas. Regularly monitors relevant key financial indicators and performance metrics, modifying business activities where needed in response to changing financial situations.
  • Data Management and Analytics: Track, analyze, and report on relevant data and metrics as needed and/or requested. Develop, recommend and/or implement actions or process improvements as appropriate.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

 

Qualifications

  • Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of Orthopedic nursing experience required
