Overview

The Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) applied to neuro-oncology. The Carter Lab partners with neuro-oncologists and neurosurgeons within the HMH network incorporating preclinical and clinical research aimed at understanding the spatiotemporal alterations within the brain tumor microenvironment. Our focus is on elucidating cell-specific metabolic and lipidomic alterations that drive tumor progression and therapeutic resistance. We are interested in exploiting these pathway alterations for therapeutic gain. The research carried out in our lab is closely partnered with patient treatment and the insights gained from the work will be translated into clinical approach.
