The Director, Family MedicineClerkship will assist in the development, implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of the School of Medicine's Phase 2 and clinical skills curriculum, under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Skills and in close collaboration with the SOM leadership and is responsible for the development, implementation, operation, evaluation, and enhancement of the clerkship, with an attention toward the SOM Vision of providing the highest levels of wellness in an economically and behaviorally sustainable fashion regardless of race or socioeconomic status They will support curriculum delivery, remediation, student support and accommodations for students. This includes integrated three-year competency based clinical skills training and assessment, including assessment of the Core Entrustable Professional Activities for undergraduate medical education and development of faculty participating in the delivery of these curricula. Assist in the development of a clinical skills program that has the tremendous advantages of robust and advanced classroom, simulation, and clinical settings. This role will also oversee all aspects of the Longitudinal Clinical Preceptorship (LCP) Program for the Phase 1 students.

Candidates should be an MD and have experience in Family Medicine.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Medical education experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
