The Assessment Operations Assistant will report to the Assessment Information Systems Manager in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment, and will assist in the collection, preparation, maintenance and reporting of curriculum and assessment data for the School of Medicine.


1.Assist in collation and preparation of data for import into curriculum management and assessment systems.

2.Gather and compile medical school curriculum data.

3.Create and maintain exams in Exam Soft.

4.Collaborate with faculty, administrators and staff to collect, maintain, and report data.

5.Assist with preparation and distribution of reports generated from curriculum management and assessment systems.

6.Use system reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and determine root cause for data problems from input errors and suggest possible solutions.

7.Ensure confidentiality of all data and reports.

8.Participate in other institutional effectiveness and assessment special projects as assigned.

9.Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1.Associate's degree or equivalent experience, including demonstrated skills in data management.

2.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

3.Experience with web-based line-of-business applications or curriculum management software.

4.Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of individuals and diverse groups, including administrators, faculty, students, staff, and other stakeholders.

5.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple and varied tasks to meet deadlines and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.

6.Attention to detail and commitment to exceptional work quality standards.

7.A high level of discretion and confidentiality.

8.Strong working knowledge of English grammar and sentence structure.


Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

1.Advanced Excel data management skills.

2.Experience with ExamSoft software.

3.Experience in higher education and/or medical education.

4.Content editing experience.
