Network Engineer IV
Designs, installs, maintains, and optimizes network infrastructure. Responds to help desk tickets for enterprise level network support along with end users' requests. Establishes standard policies and procedures, prepares support documentation, and provides initial cross training to appropriate teams for implementation & support. Participates in project management activities as assigned. Coordinates with peers and Manager to ensure that assignments are completed according to guidelines in an efficient and effective manner.
Participates in the planning and design of network architecture
Performs maintenance of network devices including the restoration of hardware and software.
Conduct advanced research and evaluation of network technology and recommend purchases of network equipment.
Anticipates and mitigates potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure the security of the system.
Works with end users and vendors to resolve network hardware and software issues.
Installs, supports and tests Local and Wide Area Networks.
Supports Infrastructure including: switches, routers, wireless, optical, and firewalls.
May develop end-user training to achieve efficient utilization of LAN/WAN.
Responds to and resolves help desk tickets.
Participates in project management activities as assigned.
Participates in Network Team On-Call program.
Bachelor level degree or equivalent in IT related discipline; Eight years of experience is required.
One or more of the following: Active Cisco CCNP, CCDP, CCIE routing and switching.
IOS, NX-OS, Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VXLAN, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS
Possesses expert knowledge OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IP Subnetting and routing technology
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the TCP/IP network subject matters, routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and LAN/WAN technologies.
Leadership and Project Management skills.
