In this role, you will provide consultation and analytical support to and collaborate with clinical research teams and hospital administration in biostatistics. The tasks include, but are not limited to, refining research hypotheses, recommending appropriate study designs, preparing the statistical analysis plan for research protocols, designing data collection instruments, ensuring the quality of research data, analyzing data and interpreting statistical results, writing the statistical analysis report, and preparing the statistical method and results sections for publications and conference presentations. In addition, you will provide consultation on statistical topics to team members throughout the hospital system.
The ideal candidate will have a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics (a Ph.D. degree is highly preferred) with at least two years of experience in a consulting research environment and working on collaborated clinical and epidemiological research projects.
Coursework and familiarity in survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, epidemiology and clinical trials, and strong programming skills in R/S-Plus and SAS as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office products are required.
The ideal candidate will also possess strong communication, writing, organizational, and time management skills to permit the management of simultaneous and competing demands for a number of supported projects.
