Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Office Coorinator Hackensack Meridian includes providing a wide variety of secretarial, clerical and clinical support activities including: intake of patient referrals; responding to internal
and external record requests; registration of patients; obtaining insurance verification and authorization; scheduling of patients; responding to patient and visitor inquiries; department maintenance and processing of discharged patient charts. Assists in the administration of cardiac testing when required. Participates in department initiatives related to performance improvement and patient satisfaction. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Work Experience: Two years experience with a minimum of one year in a health care setting preferred.
Education / Education Specialization
High school diploma or equivalent required; secretarial or medical office certificate preferred. BLS required with in six months of hire date.
Technical / Equipment:
Computer skills; word processing, database; strong interpersonal and telephone skills; organizational skills, knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Licensure / Certification / Registration - All NJ Licenses must be current
