The Department of Internal Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center is seeking a Division Chief for Infectious Diseases. The Director will be expected to lead the Division in a manner that contributes to the successful mission of the Department of Medicine, Hackensack University Medical Center, the Hackensack Meridian Health System, and the Seton Hall – Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. 

This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Medicine.

The Director will provide clinical, academic and administrative physician leadership for an expanding clinical-academic program. An ideal candidate would have academic accomplishments meriting the rank of Associate or Professor in the School of Medicine, have strong leadership experience, excellent clinical and teaching skills, and proven commitment to investigation.

The role will include expansion and specialization of clinical services; education and training program development and expansion across fellowship, residency and medical students from the new School of Medicine, and administrative roles within the Department, hospital, health system and medical school as well as the opportunity to collaborate with the basic research groups at the HMH Center for Discovery and Innovation.
