This position is responsible for a wide variety of activities including but not limited to:
- Initiating patient intakes
- Scheduling appointments
- Performing insurance verification / authorization processes
- Patient registration
- Handling a high volume of customer calls/inquiries
- Entering patient charges
- Responding to medical records requests
- Maintenance of department records.
2 years experience with a minimum of 1 year in a health care setting preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required, secretarial or medical office certificate preferred
Computer skills - word processing, database; phone skills; medical terminology preferred
