Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Central Supply Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health can be described as follows:
- Processes departmental requisitions for all supplies and equipment used in the nursing department.
Stocks incoming supplies in all medical supply rooms and closets and checks all supplies for expiration dates.
Inventories and stocks the supply rooms on a daily basis.
Demonstrates ability to use and care for all technical equipment and supplies.
Identifies equipment problems and safety hazards and takes appropriate action to initiate repairs and/or correction of deficiencies.
Cleans and retrieves all medical equipment that is no longer in use.
Supplies stocked to operate equipment are readily available.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Previous purchasing experience is preferred
