Anthology Diagnostics is a precision medicine start-up organization supported by Hackensack Meridian Health.  At Anthology Diagnostics, we are driven by the potential to dramatically change the survival of patients suffering from cancer through more precise treatment.  The Business Development Executive role is dedicated to the challenge of bringing innovative technology to clinicians and demonstrating the value to their patients.   We are looking for a results-driven individual responsible for not only developing a team, but willing to aggressively pursue sales opportunities for this innovative start-up company.   From developing new business to developing account management, this role is focused on driving successful, profitable growth.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Business Development Executive will:

  1. Secures testing sales for Anthology Diagnostics. 
  2. Provides education for clinicians ordering tests on regarding the technology, clinical appropriate ordering, as well providing account management for physicians
  3. Meets or exceeds volume targets
  4. Prospects and establishes new physicians/referral sources
  5. Interfaces with the customer service representatives for Anthology Diagnostics to ensure consistent and timely responses to questions, challenges with reports, etc.
  6. Consults with marketing on messaging enhancements
  7. Assists billing and revenue recovery staff with pre-authorizations and responding to payment denials.
  8. Spends 70-80% of all time meeting with potential clients
  9. Assists in the planning and development of a sales team as the territory for sales grows. 
  10. Mentors sales team members to successfully meeting targets  
  11. Participates in the development of the team’s budget as it relates to staffing, salaries, etc.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Education and Skills Required:

  1. BS/BA in Life Sciences, Marketing or Business.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in a relevant industry/commercial environment; genomic
  3. Comprehensive understanding and experience with genomic testing trends, market segments and regional market trends
  4. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  5. Charismatic leader who is strategically oriented, highly ethical, and possesses a strong management presence.

Required Certification/Licensing:  

  1. Must have a clean, valid Driver’s License.
