BMET III-Biomedical Equipment Technician-Per Diem

The Bio-Medical Technician III maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs a variety of tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of biomedical equipment with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Minimum of 8 years experience working in Biomedical Engineering with no degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience such as (AS in Electronics/BET with 6 years exp or BS in Electronics/BET with 4 years exp in Biomedical Engineering)
- All skills required for BMET I and BMET II
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMMS, and NJDOH standards.
- Exhibits a comprehensive understanding and can communicate the use of devices supported.
- Can provide comprehensive support of acuity equipment for direct patient care.
- Is familiar with the operations and environment that they support such as hospitals, clinics, etc.
- Has comprehensive experience in their assigned clinical environment.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- AS/BS Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Electronic Technology with 6 years experience working in Biomedical Engineering
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMMS, and NJDOH standards.
- Experience in a hospital or industrial environment with experience in hospital related equipment.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Valid US State Driver's License
