A joint partnership between Hackensack Meridian Health and JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, Shore Rehabilitation Institute (SRI) is a 40-bed, acute rehabilitation facility that offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services.

Located adjacent to Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ, SRI is fully accredited by the Joint Commission as an acute rehabilitation hospital, providing a broad spectrum of rehabilitation services.

SRI offers an experienced, energetic team of professionals determined to help patients achieve their highest level of function. This multi-disciplinary team provides a full continuum of rehabilitative care while individualizing treatment plans based on each patient’s unique needs. Bringing together the latest in rehabilitation technology, with the expertise & care of our team, SRI is committed to restoring your life back to you.

*Must be able to work minimum of 3 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule.

*Must be able to work 1 winter and 1 summer holiday.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychologic, and cognitive status
  • Functions as a Registered Professional Nurse using the outcome-based practice model by demonstrating competency in clinical judgment, select technical skills and an appropriate knowledge base
  • Implements are in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner, utilizing procedures, protocols, standards of care, and education of patients and significant others
  • Evaluates effectiveness of care towards desired outcomes in progressing patients towards a predefined length of stay
  • Performs documentation responsibilities following the outcome-based standards and guidelines for forms used in the Medical Center and the assigned clinical area
  • Demonstrates applied knowledge base in areas of outcome-based standards, protocols, medications, standards of care, patient classification data and significant lab values as defined generically in the Medical Center and in the area of clinical expertise
  • Adheres to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses with Interpretive Statements
  • Adheres to Professional Practice Standards, using outcome-based practice model and the American Nurses Association indicators as guidelines. Utilizes and participates in current research findings in the care of patients and families following standards of care, policies and procedures, and protocols

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing. 
  • Minimum of 1 year prior nursing experience preferred
  •  NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. Licenses
