The IT Operations Analyst I is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the operation of Client Server platforms (i.e. central console, on-line terminals, etc.) within Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level IT Operations Analysts.

*****Candidates should be very flexible as this position will include working all 3 shifts as needed. Must be able to work weekends, Overtime as needed, travel between HMH sites. The Operations team is fully staffed 24x7 so Holidays are part of our schedule.*****


A day in the life of IT Operations Analyst I at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Identifies, analyzes and solves technical problems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Responds to customer problems and complaints.
  • Assesses performance and makes recommendations for change based on HMH needs and goals.
  • Designs monitoring tools to detect and report on system performance.
  • Troubleshoots and provides support to users.
  • Maintains necessary production journal and control log(s).
  • Maintains operation records of machine utilization, PMs and/or equipment repairs.
  • Preforms and verifies backup procedures for related solutions as per defined policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH’s Managerial competencies and standards of behavior.
  • Lifts a minimum of 25 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 25 lbs. and stands a minimum of 2 hours a day.


Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent years of experience in a related Information Technology (IT) or other computer field.
  • Two or more years of relevant Information Technology experience.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Related technical expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills ability to work as part of team.
